Australia was one of 3 countries in the world where a majority of the population approved of Bush Jr. as . Now Australia has a problem with ppl refusing to wear masks -- just like Trump supporters in the US.

@aktivismoEstasMiaLuo One highly underestimated danger of silicon valley seems to be the export of american ideals such as colonialism and self-interest above all other. It's so sad to watch.

@chris Australia is also a bit rich in , which is quite consistent with the conservative leanings. This is why I'd rather live in New Zealand if I go to that region. NZ seems to escape the rt-wing extremism reasonably well.

@aktivismoEstasMiaLuo Interesting. I think of the Christchurch shootings and it seems to me like both have their issues. For that matter, everything has it's issues though. It's the collective response to those issues that matter. Just look at the terror planning arrests in Germany recently. The world is a scary place.

@chris I'm tempted to see shooting incidents by right wing extremists as indicative of the masses being fair and respectful of equality -- the nutters get pissed when their bigotry isn't widely accepted. Whereas Australia is a case where a large portion of the population lack tolerance of others.

@aktivismoEstasMiaLuo yap the US president him self refused to do so..what do you expect from his supporters!!!
