#Indymedia Reboot

If you are interested, we're getting organised at
(a slightly re-purposed gitea instance.)

Create an account, post issues, ask questions.

It's very much a work in progress at the moment.

We are working hard to use existing tools, to try and avoid (at least initially) creating anything "new".

Organise, Write, Photograph, Record, Publish

And keep it decentralised, federated, open.

Anyone interested in getting involved with rebooting as part of an open media network () ?

Bring journalism back to the grassroots, develop trust again in where we get our information from.

Nothing new - we're trying to build on ActivityPub and RSS.

How might we improve the social dynamics online through this process, without getting caught up in the technology?

is imho not the right approach - will lead to just more anger and stupidity.

seems better to me, but with an important addition.

really, genuinely looking forward to being able to afford one of your pocket-sized, general purpose computers, with added telephonic functionality :)

Find a way people.

This does not mean there should be no genuine peacekeepers.

It's another part of local communities needing to solve their own needs!

Abolish, and fill the vaccuum with people from your _actual_ community, who truly represent you.

Seek to be non-violent and do no harm.

But sure as shit, be ready to defend - just not in the typically-portrayed gun-toting, mindless redneck way.

More like the shaolin monk way.

Can anyone explain to me this repeated behaviour I see of professing onesself as autistic?

I've lived and worked with autism; I'm not convinced many of these people know what it means.

Are they confusing aspergers and autism?

Granted they are both part of a spectrum, but if you are aware, you'll know what I'm talking about

regarding mixed messaging from WHO

30,000 is a lot of scientists who apparently believe that lockdowns may do more harm than good.

I'm not yet agreeing or disagreeing.

But I would argue that that number is meaningless without direct comparison to the number of scientists/medical professionals who hold the opposing view.

An open call:

For input on a proposal to develop simple, clear laws to protect our planet and it's inhabitants.

If we are to have laws, they should be grounded, sensible and beneficial to life in general.

Nice text, someone shared here recently (sorry can't remember who).
Though I'd share again
